·        Central Nebraska Habitat for Humanity (CNHFH) is beginning a new housing repair program called A Brush with Kindness.

·        CNHFH’s A Brush with Kindness focuses on exterior home repair services such as exterior painting, minor exterior repairs, landscaping, weatherization and exterior cleanup for low-income, elderly, and/or disabled homeowners who struggle to maintain the upkeep of their homes.

·        CNHFH’s A Brush with Kindness serves low-income homeowners who are selected based on: need, ability to pay, and willingness to partner.

 ·        Like all Habitat for Humanity programs that contribute towards the Revolving Fund for Humanity, payments made by the partner family are used by CNHFH to pay-it-forward and serve other families in need.

 ·        CNHFH’s A Brush with Kindness uses community based and external volunteers, youth partners, donated funds and materials and no-interest loans to make repairs on homes, helping low-income homeowners continue to live independently and securely in their homes.

 ·        CNHFH’s A Brush with Kindness is part of Habitat’s work with low-income families and helps to improve communities. Repair work to existing houses revitalizes the appearance and value of neighborhoods and strengthens pride in one’s community.
